Acer’s Swift lineup are a fantastic lightweight Windows laptops in a midrange price segment. The Swift Go 14 is the company’s premium lineup with a 16:10 aspect ratio OLED screen and Intel’s new 13th-gen or AMD Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, among other features. Design, Display

The Swift Go 14 have 14-inch screen with an OLED display that offers a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. In addition to the OLED display, the Swift Go 14 also come with IPS screens. Here, you can choose between Full HD and 2.2K resolution. 

In terms of build quality, the Swift Go laptops come with a lightweight aluminum body that measures 14.9mm. They also include an eco-friendly OceanGlass touchpad for a smooth multitasking experience.

Performance

Performance-wise, these laptops get Intel’s new 13th Gen chipsets, providing a 10% increase in productivity compared to the previous 12th Gen CPUs. There are options for either the U-series or H-series CPU, giving users flexibility in terms of processor choice. Meanwhile, users will also be able to choose Swift Go 14 with AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors. 

To ensure optimal thermal performance, Acer has used the Twin Air Cooling system in these laptops. It utilizes dual fans to dissipate heat in a more efficient and controlled manner. Acer says this results in a 60.7% boost in thermal performance compared to a single fan. 

Furthermore, the laptop’s dual copper heat pipes and air-inlet keyboard are specifically designed to expel 10% more heat than a standard laptop keyboard, allowing the surface to remain cool even after extended use.

Over on the memory front, you get to choose between 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB, 512B, and 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. As a 13th Gen laptop, it also supports Intel Unison software, which allows you to connect your iPhone or Android device to your PC and make calls and send texts. 

Others

Besides that, the Swift Go 14 include a 1440p webcam that works in tandem with the Intel Movidius VPU. This technology allows you to enjoy features such as background blur, auto framing, and eye contact alerts even in low-light situations.

The port options on these laptops are also quite good. There are two USB Type C (Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4) ports here, as well as two USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1 ports, and a MicroSD slot.
