A few months after launching the Oppo A5 Pro in Nepal, Oppo has now introduced a more budget-friendly alternative — the Oppo A5. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the specifications of the Oppo A5, along with its official price in Nepal.
The Oppo A5 features a sleek, premium design with a high-quality finish. It comes in three distinct colors: Zircon Black with a purple tint, Crystal Diamond with a rainbow pattern, and a Blue variant with a ripple design. On the back the phone has a quad-camera island, two actual cameras, the other mostly for show, along with an LED light. The device weighs 185 grams and is only 7.65 mm thick.
On the front, the phone boasts a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen has slim bezels of just 1.39 mm and features a punch hole for the front camera. For added security, it comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the phone is IP65 certified for durability and includes 360-degree NFC support.
The Oppo A5 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 1 4G chipset, which includes 4 Cortex A73 and 4 Cortex A53 cores. This provides smooth performance for daily tasks, but it’s not ideal for gaming. The phone runs on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15.
In terms of battery, the A5 comes with a massive 6,000 mAh capacity. For the camera setup you get a 50 MP main lens, a 2 MP portrait camera (though no ultra-wide sensor), and an 8 MP front camera for selfies. The phone is available in various configurations, including 8/12GB RAM, 8/256GB storage, and 12/256GB or 12/512GB storage.
