Infinix launched the successor to the GT 10 Pro, dubbed the GT 20 Pro, a while ago. This is a midrange gaming phone that features a Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC, a 144Hz AMOLED panel, and more. The Infinix GT 20 Pro packs a Mediatek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC under the hood. This upper midrange 5G chip boasts four Cortex-A55 cores running at 2 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocking at 3 GHz, and a primary Cortex-A78 core at 3.10 GHz. With Pixelworks X5 Turbo display gaming processor for frame rate optimizations and up to 12GB of RAM, it seems ready for some serious gaming actions.
Likewise, booting the smartphone is Infinix’s XOS 14 built on top of Android 14. Infinix promises two major Android updates and three years of security patch updates.
Talking of the design, the Infinix GT 20 Pro goes for a gaming vibe just like its predecessor. The rear side houses a semi-transparent finish, slightly identical to Nothing Phone 2. You also get a curved LED strip that is customizable for notifications, charging indicators, notifications, and such.
As for the display, it sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz fast refresh rate. This FHD+ res display boasts a 2340Hz PWM dimming, 1300nits of peak brightness, and a DCI-P3 color gamut. Plus, you also get an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics security.
In terms of camera, the GT 20 Pro houses a triple camera setup. You get a 108MP primary shooter with OIS alongside a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro combo. Upfront, there is a 32MP snapper for clicking selfies and making video calls.
Fueling the gaming phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. It also supports Bypass charging and Hyper Charge mode. As for the connectivity, the phone will support 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Other features of this gaming phone include JBL dual speakers and an x-axis linear motor for in-game vibration.
