Design and Display 

The new Vivobook Pro 15 features a modern and minimal design with a subtle ‘Vivobook’ branding on the lid. Its dual-tone keyboard, paired with the Asus DialPad, gives the Vivobook Pro a unique look that you’ll not get elsewhere. The overall package has a bit of heft to it measuring just shy of 20mm in thickness and weighing 1.8 kilos but that does mean a bigger battery, better cooling, and some extra ports. It also makes for a durable product, one that has passed the US MIL-STD 810 tests. 

The 3.2K Lumina OLED display is one of the major highlights of the Asus Vivobook Pro 15 (2024). The 15.6” panel features a fast 120Hz refresh rate, Pantone-validated colors, and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. Other notable features include a minimal 0.2ms response time, VESA DisplayHDR certification, and TUV Rheinland certification for a low-blue-light and flicker-free experience. Performance and Memory 

Under the hood, the Pro notebook supports up to a Core Ultra 9 185H from Intel. These latest Meteor Lake chipsets not only promise improved CPU performance but also greater efficiency and a huge boost in onboard graphics. The latter might not be very relevant in the Vivobook Pro 15 (2024) though as it ships with dedicated graphics with up to an NVIDIA RTX 4060 running at around 75-80W (125W TDP for CPU+GPU).  All this is cooled with a triple-vented dual fan design dubbed the Asus IceCool Pro. 

Memory-wise, you get up to 24GB of 5600MHz DDR5 sticks with an upgradable SO-DIMM slot alongside support for up to 2TB of fast Gen 4 SSD storage. 

Connectivity and Extras

The laptop ships with a slew of ports from Thunderbolt 4 to an Ethernet port and HDMI. There are two USB Type-A ports, two Type-Cs (one Thunderbolt), an RJ45 for ethernet, an SD reader, an HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. 

The battery is a 75Wh cell powered by a 200W AC adapter that fills it up to 50% in under half an hour. You can also charge it via the USB-C ports on the right. There’s the Asus DialPad for precise control of settings and elements in your creative apps, and a number pad on the right for crunching digits when needed. The 5MP webcam comes with a physical privacy shutter while there’s also a built-in NPU in the Core Ultra chip for accelerating AI-related workflows.
