Design and display

The modern design of the ROG Strix SCAR 18 now looks more premium with rounded edges. It also features a full-surround RGB light bar on the bottom of the chassis and an “AniMe Vision” display on the lid.

Whereas the SCAR 18 has a tool-less design with a “Q-Latch System” to make RAM and SSD upgrades easier as well. But since it is an 18-inch laptop, it’s pretty heavy at 3.3 kg.

Up front, the Strix SCAR 18 boasts a large 18-inch “ROG Nebula HDR” Mini LED display. It has a 240Hz refresh rate, a sharp 2.5K resolution, 100% of DCI-P3 colors, and an impressive 1,200 nits of peak brightness. This screen is also Pantone-validated for color accuracy.

Performance and memory

Moving into the performance, this beast is equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU and an RTX 5070 Ti GPU.

This Intel processor consists of 24 cores (8P/16E) and 24 threads, where the performance cores peak at 5.4 GHz and the efficiency cores peak at 4.6 GHz.
