Acer has refreshed its existing Nitro 16 with 14th-gen Intel processors while releasing a brand new AMD one on the side. In this article, let’s take a look at the Acer Nitro 16 (2024), its Intel and AMD models, full specifications, price in Nepal, and availability details.
The latest Acer Nitro 16 (2024) brings Intel’s 14th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs with improved performance. There’s also an AMD model that houses the Ryzen 8040 Hawkpoint HS processors. Both chips are high TDP ‘HX’ and ‘HS’ silicon with built-in Neural Processing Units (NPUs).
Choices on the blue side include different Core i7 processors (14400HX, 14650HX, 14700HX) while you can get anything from Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 9 for your AMD model.
GPU-wise you can choose between RTX 3050, RTX 4050, and RTX 4060 cards. Besides the chips though, you won’t find many differences between the Nitro 16 models.
For the display, you get a 16” IPS screen with a tall 16:10 aspect ratio and full sRGB colors.
The refresh rate is at 165Hz and it’s G-Sync compatible. There’s also Advanced Optimus for the higher configurations. Resolution wise you can pick between 1080p+ and 1440p+ while the response time and brightness are at 3ms and 500 nits respectively.
The Nitro 16 is built primarily out of plastic and weighs nearly 2 and a half kg. There’s a full-sized keyboard with 4-zone RGB lighting and a plastic trackpad aligned slightly to the left. Under the hood, there’s a 76 Wh battery powering the whole thing.
For wired connections, you have two USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1, and a microSD slot. There’s WiFi 6E for fast wireless connectivity.
